Abstract:

The objective of this paper prepared for INSTRAW by Maria Floro, Nilufer Çagatay, John Willoughby and Korkut Ertürk in March 2004 is to use a gendered approach in examining the development financing strategies endorsed in the 2002 Monterrey Consensus. The paper seeks to identify what needs to be done to ensure that gender perspectives are incorporated in the followup mechanisms to the conference as well as in the broader global effort for economic and gender justice, peace and the realization of human rights.
