Jessica Zimerman joined the Consortium on Gender, Security and Human Rights in September 2014. Previously, she worked for UNDP Nepal and UNFPA Bangladesh on various violence reduction and awareness raising projects. From 2010 to 2012, as the coordinator of the EastWest Institute’s Parliamentarians Network for Conflict Prevention, Jessica directed the Working Group on Women, Peace and Security and focused on strengthening the role of women in governance and peacebuilding in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
 
She also gained project management, communications and research experience at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Peres Center for Peace, and New York University.
 
Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Administration degree specializing in International Development from Cornell University.
