Abstract:

An interview with Diane Elson, a feminist economist and gender and development policy expert, is presented. She offers her view on the opportunity for feminist economists to study the economic crisis. Elson discusses the relationship between paid care work and migration. She also talks about the use of gender-responsive budgeting to address the problem of inequalities and ensure fair economic conditions.
